I like to think of my career as “Pre and Post Joan Burge.” I first met Joan in 1999 and attended my first conference in 2000, which truly changed the direction of my career and my life.
Joan’s conference opened my eyes to ideas and opportunities for Administrative Assistants that I had never imagined. I was captivated listening to Admin teams share their accomplishments, and I knew this was the path I wanted to follow.
I’ve always been painfully shy, but attending these conferences helped me build confidence and overcome my shyness. I have proposed large-scale keynote speaker events to Executives and saw them to fruition. I gained the courage to speak in front of hundreds of employees and led a very successful Administrative Training team for many years. This is all thanks to Joan and her team at Office Dynamics.
I’m still inspired by the success stories I hear at the conference and there is always something new and exciting to learn. I look forward to recharging my batteries, adding new contacts to my network and stocking fresh tools in my toolkit. I have also built lasting friendships over the years that I truly treasure!
